We took walk this morning through town and out into the villages to see what we could see. We had a great time and talked with dozens of different people about Zoe. She’s a real draw here. Every woman we pass wants to see her, and if we stop long enough, they want to touch her cheeks and say, “Wah, cantik sekali! Si putih!” Which essentially means, “Ooo, so pretty, cute little white thing.” At least, as far as I can gather.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped at Amore Cafe again and had lunch. Lunch was absolutely perfect. The food was good, and the ocean was pretty. The only bad part was once our food had been out for a bit, the flies found us. But for being in an out of the way place in Indonesia, it was a small inconvenience.
Back at the hotel, we played cards till almost 4. It’s been a great day. I’m excited for tomorrow. we will head out for a half day on a boat to see what we can see. This will be fun!
I want to star gaze tonight.
